The Government of Uganda in Partnership with the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) Continental Secretariat, the African Governance Architecture and other Development Partners is organizing the 3rd Africa Youth APRM Continental Symposium, under the theme: AU @ 20: Reposition the Youth Agenda for a Transformative Continent”, scheduled to take place in Kampala, Uganda from July 04th – July 09th, 2022. This is a follow up of the Second APRM Youth Symposium on strengthening Youth participation in Governance processes towards a Universal ascension that took place in September 2021 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The objective of the Symposium is to empower the youth in Governance, Leadership and Development. The Symposium will attract participation from representatives of the Governments, public and private organizations and institutions as well as key policy makers involved in the youth affairs, development partners working in AU member states, representatives of national youth structures, Presidential Youth Aides/Advisors, Youth Ministers and Parliamentarians among others from the Global South.

The one-week symposium will be opened by H. E. the President of the Republic of Uganda, who will give a key-note address. The symposium will also be addressed by Rt. Hon. Prime Minister of Uganda, renowned and eminent scholars, successful business and political leaders sourced from different parts of the world; covering the strategic issues of leadership, governance and peace, entrepreneurship, regional and continental integration using design-thinking tools in an ideological setting.
