3rd African Peer Review Mechanism
Continental Youth Symposium 2022
From the 4th – 9th July 2022, the Government of Uganda in Partnership with the African Union, African Peer Review Mechanism supported by the European Union Delegation to Uganda and development partners will convene physically at the Commonwealth Resort Hotel Munyonyo- Uganda for the 3rd African Peer Review Mechanism Continental Youth Symposium 2022 under the auspices of His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda.
The symposium will be held under the theme “African Union @ 20: Repositioning the Youth Agenda for a Transformative Continent”.
The symposium will bring together up to 800 participants from the global south and European countries to discuss and share experiences on matters that affect progress of young people.
The joint organizing committee will offer sponsorship for selected participants including the accommodation, meals and travel expenses. The rest of the participants who are interested will be able to do that by covering their accommodation, meals and travel expenses and for that, they will be notified by email.
This year, the conference will be a hybrid, being both physical and virtual. It will take place at the physical venue and virtual will join online to interact with speakers and other participants in physical attendance.
To attend the symposium you must:
- Be a youth aged 18 – 35 years
- Be from African countries, Europe and the South South hemisphere.
- Have experience in youth advocacy or development
- Represent youth led body, youth organization or special interest groups (Indigenous young people, young disabled people, rural youth etc.)
