Objective:

To initiate, design and coordinate special programmes and projects for the recovery and development of Northern Uganda.

Activities:

1. Coordination and monitoring of the implementation of PRDP;
2. Transfer of funds to Local Governments’ for operationalization of Parish Community Associations, Construction of cultural leaders’ palaces;
3. Distribution of hand hoes for production;

Achievements:

1. Held coordination meetings with MPs foe greater Northern Uganda and the Presidential Affairs Committee;
2. Conducted quarterly political mobilization and monitoring od Government programmes in West Nile, Lango, Bukedi, Elgon and Acholi sub-regions;
3. Procured and delivered 15,000 cattle (Heifers and Bulls) to the four sub-regions of Northern Uganda.
4. Procured five (5) tractors to support agricultural mechanization
5. Completed Civil construction works for the Buteleja Produce store
6. Procured and distributed 600 bicycles and 200 bicycle repair Kits for selected Youth and religious leaders.
7. Completed Solar installation works in 53 Acholi Chiefs houses.
8. Procured and distributed 131 motorcycles to selected youth and religious groups.
9. Procured and distributed 1250 ox-ploughs for youth and women groups to support commercial agriculture.

Objectives:

1. To redress the adverse socio-economic effects of the NRM liberation war (1981-86) and ADF insurgency (1996-2003) that disrupted the development of 39 districts in the two sub-regions of Luwero and Rwenzori and also reduce the number of people living below the poverty line.
2. To coordinate the payment of war debts and pay one-off gratuity to civilian veterans in Luwero Triangle Region.

Activities:

1. Payment of gratuity and coordination of war debts clearances;
2. Coordination of Parish Community Associations
3. Distribution of hand hoes for production in the sub-region;
4. Supporting Micro projects go enhance household income
5. Transfer of funds to Local Governments’ for operationalization of Parish Community Associations, Construction of cultural leaders’ palaces;
6. Distribution of hand hoes for production;

Achievements:

1. Paid one-off gratuity to civilian veterans;
2. Veteran coordination meetings conducted in the districts of Isingiro, Kamwenge, Wakiso and Buhweju;
3. Updated and maintained the Akasiimo Database with available information;
4. Facilitated political and technical monitoring and supervision activities in the Luweero-Rwenzori;
5. Procured and distributed iron sheets and hand hoes to vulnerable individuals/groups including the youth elderly, PWDs and the poor in the sub-region;
6. Appraised and supported micro-projects to enhance household incomes for youth, women, veterans and PWDs;
7. Established Parish Community Associations (PCAs) in Kiboga, Kyankwanzi, Kalangala, Butambala, Gomba, Kayunga, Mityana, Kamwenge, Mubende, Makaseke, Nakasongola, Kyenjojo, Nakaseke.

Objective:

To guide the implementation of Special Programmes and Projects in the Karamoja Sub-region.

Activities/Outputs:

1. Coordination of the Implementation of Karamoja Integrated Development Programs (KIDP)
2. Transfer of funds to government units for micro projects in the Karamoja sub region

Achievements:

1. Conducted Inter-agency meetings;
2. Facilitated KIDP Technical Working Group meetings;
3. Support peace building initiatives in Moroto;
4. Mobilized and sensitized Communities for development in Karamoja;
5. Undertook study visits in Turkana, Kenya;
6. Supported elders and Cultural activity meetings; and
7. Coordinated and monitored Government & NGO programmes and projects implemented in Karamoja.

1. Coordinated and monitored Government programs in the Bunyoro sub region;
2. Facilitated political monitoring activities;
3. Appraised and supported Micro Projects in the Bunyoro sub region;
4. Facilitated social mobilization of women, youth and PWDs for social development;
5. Supported Kitara Diocese cathedral through Masindi District to acquire iron sheets (Harvey tiles); and
6. Distributed iron sheets to vulnerable groups.

Objective:

Activities/Outputs:

1. Implementation PRDP and other Government programs coordinated and monitored.
2. Implementation of Presidential pledges coordinated.
3. Special and specific affirmative interventions implemented.
4. Peace-building conflict resolution promoted.
5. Former internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) resettled.

Achievements:

1. Procured and distributed 3 hydraform machines in the Districts of Kumi, Serere, and Bukedea
2. Developed the Teso Development Plan
3. Procured and distributed 1,341 ox-ploughs to vulnerable groups in Teso
4. Procured and distributed 26 motorcycles for health workers, religious leaders, and Abarata Kere group
5. Procured and distributed 20,038 iron sheets to formally internally displaced persons
6. Procured and distributed 10,000 hand hoes to vulnerable persons
7. Procured and distributed 20,959 cattle to vulnerable persons
8. Procured and distributed 1,160 bags of cement to religious institutions
9. Procured and delivered 3 agricultural tractors with implements
10. Completed and equipped Omatenga Antenatal unit
11. Supported 120 household income-generating activities
12. Procured and delivered 1000 fishnets to the fishing communities of Serere district
13. Constructed Mukongoro Police administration block and staff house using Hydraform Technology
