While commissioning the water project, Hon. Aber lauded the initiators of the project because it was addressing one of the pressing needs for the people who were displaced by landslides in Bulambuli District.
“I want to thank Texans and Ugandans on Mission for responding to one of the pressing needs for the people living in this camp. There is a saying that water is Life and now the people are relieved with this kind of intervention,” said Aber.
Aber appealed to the beneficiaries of the water to ensure that they jealously guard the water system so as to serve them better and for a long period of time.
“You should use this water system properly and I don’t want to hear that equipment of the system is stolen or vandalized,” cautioned Aber.
Davis Mwenyi, the Commissioner Disaster Preparedness and Management said that this was a good contribution to the wellbeing of the people who live in Bunambutye. He said that Texans and Ugandans on Mission approached the government to lend a hand in helping the people affected by landslides and these are the fruits.
“Government works with partners so when we get development friends, they are welcome,” said Mwenyi.
