Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Nabbanja arriving at Luanda International Airport for the Summit

The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt. Hon. Nabbanja Robinah has arrived in Luanda, the capital of Angola for the African Union/European Union (AU/EU) summit.

Nabbanja is representing H.E President Yoweri Museveni at the summit that opens on Monday where she will present Uganda’s position at the summit.

The 7th AU–EU Summit will be held on 24–25 November 2025 in Luanda, Republic of Angola, bringing together Heads of State and Government from African Union Member States and European Union Member States to reaffirm their long-standing partnership and chart a renewed path of cooperation.

The Summit is co-chaired by H.E. João Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola and Chairperson of the African Union, and H.E. António Costa, President of the European Council. H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, and H.E. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission will be in attendance.

Taking place at a time of profound global uncertainties and shifting geopolitical dynamics, the Summit offers an opportunity for both continents to reaffirm their shared commitment to multilateralism, solidarity, and joint action to address common challenges.

It will mark the 25th Anniversary of the AU–EU Partnership and coincide with Angola’s Presidency of the African Union underscoring Africa’s growing leadership in defining global objectives.

Discussions will focus on advancing joint priorities within the framework of Agenda 2063 The Africa We Want, the Sustainable Development Goals, and the AU–EU Joint Vision for 2030.

Leaders will explore concrete ways to accelerate progress in areas such as peace and security, economic integration, trade and investment, multilateral governance, climate resilience, digital transformation, migration and mobility, and human development.

The gathering will build on the outcomes of the 3rd AU–EU Ministerial Meeting held in Brussels in May 2025, during which ministers reaffirmed their commitment to a partnership rooted in shared values, mutual interests, and collective aspirations for sustainable development and stability.

A series of key side events will precede the Summit, ensuring broad-based participation and inclusive dialogue.
