The Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Nabbanja Robinah has commended Pastor Aloysius Bugingo of the House of Prayer Ministries International for complementing government efforts in skilling Ugandans.
“I appreciate the House of Prayer Ministries International for initiating the Church Girl Foundation to equip girls with essential skills, such as tailoring, baking, and making sanitary towels. This initiative complements the government’s programme of skilling Ugandans, under which we have established 19 regional Presidential Skilling Hubs. The NRM values faith-based institutions that take care of both spiritual and material needs of the people,” noted Nabbanja.

Nabbanja made the remarks while officiating at the Thanksgiving function organised by Pastor Bugingo in Makerere, Kampala on Sunday.
“As you are aware, the NRM government has built a strong foundation for every Ugandan to create wealth and prosper,” said Nabbanja.
She delivered warm greetings from H.E. Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, and NRM Presidential Candidate in the forthcoming general elections to the parishioners and assured them that he loves them so much.
Nabbanja lauded House of Prayer Ministries for the work they were doing in serving the Lord. “I commend Pastor Aloysious Bugingo, his wife Susan Bugingo, and the entire leadership of the House of Prayer Ministries International for organising this event, and for your dedication to serving God and Ugandans,” said Nabbanja.
The Premier noted that the NRM Government and Pentecostal Churches continue to enjoy a cordial relationship based on shared understanding of the roles that both the State and the Church play in the development of the country.
Nabbanja said that the government had come up with a mega plan to increase the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the country by 2040. “The Government has adopted a bold Tenfold Growth Strategy, aimed at expanding the size of the economy from USD 61.3 billion to USD 500 billion by 2040. To achieve this strategy, we are going to increase investment in the four key areas identified in National Development Plan (NDP)4. These include Agro-Industrial Development, Tourism Development, Mineral-based Development, including Oil and Gas Science, Technology and Innovation, including ICT and the Creative Arts,” she said.
“Through these strategic investments, Uganda will transition from a lower-middle-income to an upper-middle-income country, creating opportunities for every citizen to prosper,” she explained.
On his part, Pastor Bugingo expressed his satisfaction on the freedom of worship ushered in by the NRM government that had enabled people to freely associate with God.
“We thank the NRM government led by our beloved President Yoweri Kaguta who has allowed us to freely associate and worship our Lord without any interruption,” said Bugingo.
The function was graced by the Minister for Kampala Metropolitan Affairs, Hajjat Minsa Kabanda among other dignitaries.
