NAMANVE

Construction of the perimeter wall of the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) stores that are located in Namanve is in high gear.   The inspection team from OPM which included Mr. Robert Lwasa, the Principal Systems Administrator and the Principal Assistant Secretary Ms. Susan Akuma from the Department of Finance and Administration were on a weekly inspection visit to assess the progress of the construction works.

Significant progress has been made by the UPDF Engineering Brigade as evidenced by the erected foundation of the perimeter wall and a beam is being cast around the entire foundation before brick works start.

Mr. Muhwezi the Supervising Engineer on site emphasized that in order to handle the water levels which rise whenever it rains and to stabilize the ground, hardcore will be placed on the ground and backfilling with murram will be done before pavers are laid.
