The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda, Robinah Nabbanja Robinah had a one day working visit in Buikwe District.  She was accompanied by the State Minister in the Vice Presidents Office and Woman MP Buikwe Hon. Diana Mutasingwa , Tourism State Minister, Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) Executive Director, Robert Mukiza, Area MPs, officials from OPM, Attorney Generals Office, Ministry of works ,local leaders among others.

The premier visited MMP Industrial Park Buikwe that is producing a variety of items.

According to directors of the Industrial Park, so far 10 factories have been established, out of the 100 expected to be established at the industrial park.  The Park is seated on 1,000 hectares of land and is characterized as one of the biggest industrial park in Uganda.

Items like iron bars, shoes, gum boots, herbicides, chain links , wheel barrows are manufactured by the industries.

Nabbanja hailed the investors for choosing Uganda as their investment Destination, She pledged improved services in areas, of road infrastructure, water, reduced power tariffs to ease work at the factories.  She also hailed them for employing the youths as one way of fighting unemployment in the Country.

The visit follows a directive by the President to the PM to conduct a fact finding mission and iron out issues that can affect Industrial Park development in the area.
