TONGA

The Prime Minister of Uganda Robinah Nabbanja has arrived in the Kingdom of Tonga an island state in the Pacific region.

Nabbanja is in Tonga to represent the President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at the 53rd Pacific Island Forum Leaders meeting.

The Prime Robinah Nabbanja was received by Uganda ’s High Commissioner to Australia Dorothy Hyuha who also oversees the kingdom of Tonga and nine other countries in the Pacific region at Naku- Alofa Fua-Amotu International Airport.

Tonga kingdom located in the pacific region is popular for their male Traditional dressing in skirts. The people of Tonga are also famous world wide in the game of Rugby because they are physically strongmen and women and are giant people.

The population of Tonga is estimated to be about one hundred thousand people only.

The Prime Minister on arrival was treated to a dinner with other guests from other parts of the world attended by the Chief Prince of Tonga and his wife.

The Premier is expected to attend several bi-lateral meetings including delivering a message from President Museveni to the Prime Minister of Tonga.

The meeting is also expected to be attended by the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres.
