The Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja has expressed appreciation for the long standing cooperation and partnership Uganda has had with the United Nations Development Program.

This was during a meeting the Prime Minister had with UNDP Resident Representative in Uganda Ms Elsie Attafuah who called on her at her office at the Office of the Prime Minister in Kampala on Friday 20th August 2021.

The Prime Minister said UNDPs support to the country in the areas of implementing Sustainable Development Goals through establishment of an SDG Secretariat, support to refugee response, response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in disaster preparedness are a welcome contributions to the country’s efforts.

In her remarks, Ms Attafuah pledged UNDPs continued cooperation with Uganda in a wide range of areas including, supporting a women in leadership program.

UNDP has for long been partnering with Uganda in the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by establishing and resourcing the SDG Secretariat, responding and supporting refugees and host communities. END
