KAMPALA
Hon. Grace Freedom Kwiyucwiny, the former State Minister for Northern Uganda and hon Agnes Nandute former State Minister for Karamoja Affairs have officially handed over their duties and offices to the newly appointed Ministers, Dr. Kenneth Omona the new State Minister for Northern Uganda and Hon. Nambozo Florence the new State Minister for Karamoja Affairs. The transition marks a significant moment in the leadership of the regions, as Dr. Omona steps into his new role to serve the people of North Uganda as well as Hon. Nambozo Florence who will amplify the greater the Karamoja sub region.
During the handover ceremony, Hon. Grace Freedom Kwiyucwiny and Hon. Agnes Nandutu expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve in their respective capacities as State Ministers and extended their best wishes to Dr. Omona and Nambozo as they take on their responsibilities in the new office. They both thanked the President of Uganda for the trust and support extended to them during their tenure.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Kenneth Omona conveyed his appreciation for the warm welcome and promised to work collaboratively with both the outgoing Minister and her staff for the betterment of the office and the region as a whole. He emphasized the importance of continuity and building on the foundation laid by his predecessor to further advance the development goals of North Uganda.
On her part, Hon. Nambozo pledged to work with everyone but also to engage the outing Minister to see that they can achieve the best for the people of Karamoja region. She promised to deliver her best for the people of Karamoja.
The handover ceremony was witnessed by the Prime Minister, staff members, and well-wishers, who expressed their support for the new Ministers and appreciation for the service rendered by Hon. Grace Freedom Kwiyucwiny and Hon. Agnes. The event symbolizes a smooth transition of leadership and a commitment to continued progress and development in the two sub regions.
