The Japanese Ambassador to Uganda, H.E. Kameda Kazuaki, has today made a personal donation of Two Million Uganda Shillings (2,000,000/-) to support the Uganda government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ambassador handed over the donation this morning to the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister of Uganda, Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, at the Office of the Prime Minister in Kampala.

H.E. Kameda thanked the Government of Uganda for the efforts exhibited in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, adding that much as the 2 million is his personal donation, his government continues to stand with Uganda in the fight against the spread of COVID-19.

Rt. Hon. Rugunda thanked the ambassador for his donation of good will and assured him that it will go a long way in supporting the fight against COVID 19.
